My guild just donated several quilts to our local Veterans Admin this week, and have 6 more promised as soon as they are complete.
One of our guild members has organized the local SURF, surfing-veterans-therapy. Each veteran participating receives a quilt. She has a TWO-YEAR BACKLOG of donated quilts!!!
If you are looking for wounded warriors or veterans to make quilts for, there are plenty of places that would love to help direct your efforts. Check with Veterans Admin, contact Walter Reed Hospital, and ask any quilt guilds in your area. It is such a worthy cause!
