ArizonaKAT, my DD just bought a 100+ acre farm and "inherited" the 5 horses/ponies that reside there. She is complaining about the costs, but the lady who owned the farm and still owns the Halflinger ponies, and 1 Icelandic pays for all the fees for them. DD just happens to see the bills. She said it was $480 for the shoeing every 6 weeks for the 4 horses/ponies. The Icelandic has Cushings Disease, so he has expensive vet bills too.
