There is a "Vintage Sewing Machine Repair" group on Yahoo - you have to join but it is free, that has thousands of members - - - anyway, undoubtedly someone on there could help you. Join and then post your question - I get digest so it was the next day before I got a response. :-) I joined before the "neo" stuff so you may have a couple more hoops but here:
