Those colors would work in the labyrinth - you need high contrast in the frames so you'd likely need to add another light gray and maybe even white.

If she tends to lead toward the more modern quilts -you could draw out large rectangles of the colors, thin border them in black (like 1/2" finished) , turn them all directions.
