I've always been a loner, probably because life was so busy and I always cherished "me" time. I love to sew and talk to others about what I'm making, run ideas over people, and see what others are sewing, but IRL no one I know sews, which is why I come here.
Sometimes on Mondays when people ask if I had a good weekend and I say "yes! I sewed for 4 hours straight Saturday!" they look at me like, wow Nance, that's exciting? lol But to me, it is. They can have their gatherings where they sit around and drink and talk about other people, or go run their races or ride their bikes or do nothing, but sewing is my thing and I love it.
My fans are my kids, who love what I sew more when it's for them. So now that I've been full speed they want new quilts. Okay! Okay!
