Having taught at Grandma's Attic, where Sparky will be teaching, there is a very strong support staff to help her get more advanced students. GA has a very good program for beginners and if you haven't had that or the equivelent, then you "get" to take it! before going on to more advanced work. I am biased, I suppose, but I love the staff there, and the owner is a great person. The only reason I'm not there is because we had a baby boy dropped on our proverbial doorstep, and so I retired to stay home and be a mom again. My oldest is 51 and the youngest is 35, and it was a whole new ballgame. Anyway, this is off the subject........I know a lot of the quilters who frequent the shop, and they tend to be pretty good quilters. I think Sparky will do great because her work is stunning; AND the owner doesn't hire just just anyone off the street; they have to be pretty special and have special talents. I'm proud of you Sparky, and can't wait to meet you!
