Well, there was a great tutorial for a zig zag quilt on Bee Square Fabrics, but it's disappeared. This version does not use triangles, so no dealing with that pesky bias!

I made mine with jelly rolls, so my strips are 2.5" by WOF. Sew two strips together, press the seam, then cross cut the strip into squares, my squares measured 4.5". Then sew the squares together into rows. The zigzags are made by turning the blocks. Mine is scrappy, but it's easy enough to keep the fabrics aligned to make chevrons.

After assembly, I simply trimmed the triangle edges square. It was a very easy and fast quilt to make.
