I was able to roll the quilt tightly. I had a small table behind me and another table to the back of my DSM, so there was no dragging, just the weight of the roll on my shoulder ... or it that was heavy then I put it under my arm. I started in the center area and did that for the lengths going from the center. Then I unrolled a side and had that under the harp of the DSM.
The teacher who showed us how to do it easily actually used bicycle clamps - like those used for keeping pants from going into the chain area - to help her roll up her quilts.
