Based on this rather confusing blog, it looks like your machine was made in the early 2000's:
http://mobbscrubs.blogspot.ca/2011/0...g-machine.html. It's tough to figure out the age of new sewing machines; the manufacturers don't seem to provide lists of models and years. Very cool that the manual has your name embroidered on the cover!
Oh, if you need extra bobbins, they're cheap on Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Style-Sewing-M.../dp/B001UCGZXI. I read somewhere that Brother 155 and 156 bobbins are almost identical, but 1/8" difference in height, so make sure you get the 156's.
