Thanks to all for the suggestions. What I ended up doing, was to make some copies of the finished quilt on the pattern, and then PHYSICALLY cut and paste them to make the size of quilt I wanted, which ended up being 5 quilt units. So, as bearisgray said, if I am comfortable with that little extra and can afford it, I do plan on purchasing 6 times the recommended amount. I am also going to email Jinny Beyer, and see what her recommendations would be. Thanks to all for the help. I can always rely on the great people here for great answers.
