No I didn't ask for an estimate ahead of time.
My quilt is 88 x 96 inches.
She provided the batting, I provided the backing.
The pattern is a very loose meander.
Oh...and I live in Northern Wisconsin in a very rural area and this quilt shop is the only LA quilter in 80 miles...maybe that's why she charges more.
I am very happy with the quilting, it looks nice, I was just shocked at the price.

thanks for the additional info. I feel you more than likely paid too much. There are several exceptional LAQ here on the board. Even with the shipping to and from, you could probably get a better deal and be just as happy if not happier with the job.

Don't limit yourself by the person in your area. USPS one rate boxes include package tracking and you can watch your quilt going and coming.
