I live on Long Island NY and have started long arming for pay in the past year. The charge you mention is very reasoable around here. I recently charged $225 for a queen, some meandering, some custom. Customer supplies batting and backing, no binding. I talked it over with the client beforehand, no surprises for either one of us. Different pricing for different sizes and work. I don't charge by the inch, rather what time I think it will take. Not looking to get rich, just earn fabric money.
