Oh! I also should add that if you are fans of Norman Rockwell, that only about 20 minutes north of Bennington is the Norman Rockwell Museum. Back when we visited in the early 90's some of the people who worked there were people that Norman Rockwell picked in his community to use as models for his paintings. The funny thing was that they really looked like he represented them. It is a quaint and charming town. If the local church is having a church supper while you are there, be sure take part in it - it's a lot of fun and the home cooking from all those ladies is great!
