It is a 70wt thread so is very fine and is definitely thinner than their cotton thread. It would be good for small detail free motion work. Some people are able to use it in their longarms, but it breaks and shreds in mine. Glide 60wt is a polyester thread that is just a little heavier than CT but Glide never breaks or shreds on me, so that is what I use with my longarm. Haven't tried CT Essential Pro with my domestic Bernina, but think I would have no problems doing free motion work with it in that machine. I have not used Isacord so can't compare with that.
