I'm cleaning an Adler 30-1 leather patcher which from the look of it hadn't been in decades - and those were decades in a shop. Naturally I went to my arsenal of automotive cleaners and chemicals.
Nothing worked as well at cleaning up the finish than sewing machine oil.
I'm amazed and greatly appreciate the tip!
