You can still get that bread in the cans at the grocery (I think it's the same as you're talking about). Sometimes it's by the baked beans as that's what it's sometimes served with (in my area of the country). If we wanted to make it fancy for a luncheon, we'd put cream cheese with pineapple in the middle. Oh, yummers!
