I didn't actually use a pattern. I watched this video for the background,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aC6-GyD0f6s, and then I made a raw edge applique for the silhouette. I used some of my rescue dog's photos for the silhouettes. I traced around the photo using freezer paper, holding it up to the window and then used the freezer paper technique for the raw applique.
