The base of the quilt is Jelly Roll Race. The applique was from my embroidery machine. I just randomly cut pieces of dark green batik to make the seaweed. I used Wonder Under to put it in place and just did a rough decortive stitch around the seaweed. It gave the seaweed a rough edge which is want I was looking for. The back is just fat quarters cut into fourths and pieced in brick pattern. I used left over jelly roll strips between each row. I just had a picture in my mind what I wanted to do and just did it.
