Ginger loaf recipe from New Zealand.
We slice and butter it.... like bread.
two and a half cups flour, 2 teaspoons ground ginger, 1 teaspoon spice, 125g butter,125g sugar, three quarters cup golden syrup, 1 cup milk, 2 teaspoons baking soda...
Sift flour, ginger and spice together, beat butter, sugar and golden syrup together in another bowl, stir in milk and baking soda and pour into dry ingredients...
Bake in loaf tin for one hour.. moderate oven. 175 degrees would do the trick.
