Hi, I always wanted to make a Victorian style crazy quilt and today I played with some blocks using Rhonda's 'Confusion' method. It works like the 'crumb' method (tute here on the board) but you make sections and join them together rather than individual pieces. I now plan to embellish them with hand embroidery, silk ribbon, beads and so on. I used lots of different fabrics, silk, velvets as well as cotton. I stabilised the flimsier ones with lightweight Vilene (iron on interfacing, think it's called Pellon in the US). I plan to make more as time goes on but wanted to show you all the beginnings!
