I bought 4X6" flags from I believe flags.com and hand appliqued them on to a quilt block and it worked out perfect. The quilt I made, I wanted flags from 5 different states on it, thus ordering the 5 flags, and hand appliqued onto a cloud fabric, as if they were flying in the wind. Hope this helps.
