When I was looking for an easy quilt I thought this was a great dp9 layout (I think she only used 3 fabrics) http://www.stmartinjc.org/images/201...s/IMG_0206.jpg

I love scrap quilts, bright, cheerful, sunny quilts. That said, I saw these 2 and 3 fabric quilts and loved them. So I guess it's just how the color is used, rather than the quantity of fabrics used.
