If your machine has a soak option, I would try letting it soak for up to an hour in cold water with no soap to let the glue have time to soften, then wash as before. Silly me, I would make a dot of glue, let it dry, then soak it in a shallow glass dish to see how long it takes to completely soften. Even school glue isn't instant dissolving, but does wash out
