I thank you very much for your friendly welcome. You are very kind, indeed. I'm glad to be here.

I had to search for Claudia Pfeil, never heard her name before. Unfortunately, her studio is about a 5 hours drive from where I live. I would like to take a class somewhere. But there are just very few quilters around my place.

Last month my husband and I have been to France. In a very little village, Sainte-Marie-aux-mines was a quilt exhibition over 4 days, and there were classes, too. But I couldn't find the courage to book one, because they were given by real masters of the art. And I am just a beginner. I thought I shouldn't take a place an advanced quilter would benefit much more from. But we enjoyed the beautiful quilts. Some of them were more than hundred years old. That little village is the place where the Amish come from, I learned. If there still are Amish people in France I cannot tell. But that village celebrates quilting every year, and it is not more than 3 hours by car away. Of course I brought some cute fabrics home...

Next week there is a fabric market in a town nearby. They come twice a year from the Netherlands. I'm looking forward to get some beautiful batics there. And perhaps some other fabrics aswell, depending on how much pocket money I'll get. Usually, I buy all my stuff online, but I like to go to the market.

Enough for the moment, I have to prepare our meal and take the dogs for a walk, now.

Again, I'm glad to have found you!
