I usually let things be but, honestly, it wouldn't take much to rip and re-sew. I am always surprised at how easy it is to do something like that -- especially after I have dreaded it so much. I've fudged tons of things in tops but, in this case, the border would bug me if I didn't take the time to fix the sides.

Edit: Just read Dunster's post about changing the top & bottom instead of the sides. I like that look better too, and it's less work.
