The 101 is a rather uncommon model and you may have trouble finding reasonably priced parts. I'm not familiar with it but I looked at pictures of the slide plate online and it looks different from the plates I'm used to seeing. I agree that the 66 is probably a better machine to learn on. The 66 will fit in the 101's cabinet if you want to swap them. That storage seat is nice, though. Have you checked under the cushion for goodies?
