You gave more than a quilt that day -- a quilt of course will last years to come -- as will her knowing that she is a special person, receiving a special gift. We are all so busy these days, it's so easy to forget that there are folks who don't get "noticed" -- they are part of the back ground of our lives, and to notice, care, and give, is an affirmation of their importance as part of our human community. She'll have a smile on her face the next time you see her -- and you'll have one too because a gift given is a gift received.
