You have just given me an idea for a quilt my mom is working on - she is doing small dresden plates, putting them on background squares, and she is embroidering around all the blades. I get the honor of putting all these blocks together and quilting. I can picture putting her squares into a hexagon setting like yours. Now just to figure out how to put them together.
