That is cool! I saw something similar to this that sewed martial arts belts. They have a lot of straight stitched lines running the length of them. I would love to see this one working. I also wonder what it looks like under the footplate. How many bobbins etc, how it hooks the threads and if they are individually locked. That is a big "slideplate" so I wonder. And look! It's a Centennial!
