My mother made 1 king-sized, 2 queen-sized and 5 twin-sized bedspreads and three skirts with yo-yos. I love my bedspread (queen with lots of varied fabrics in it) and the twin bedspreads made in blocks of same color with white sashing between. In fact, when mother died, I placed a yo-yo, needle and thread in her hands in the coffin. We were so used to seeing her make them that it just seemed natural.
