She said not in the thousands of dollars though. The 7700 would be out of that range.
I adore my Bernina 430, but that too is in the thousands range (and discontinued). Maybe find a used one? Of either machine, the 7700 is fabulous too (it was out of my price range when I bought, but the price has dropped some).
