How about a French Braid quilt, using the brights in the little boxes down the center? That would be really pretty. If you've not seen a French Braid check it out on the internet. If it's something you want to try, PM me, I have a book I'll send you.

I vote for this one because it would distribute the bright solids in little pops throughout the quilt, and they would show off a lot more against the blacks and whites. Your DH has a great eye for color.
