Lizzie- let me tell you dear, one never forgets their mother or dad. My mother passed awayon October 25, l990, and I still think of her every day. For the longest time I would be doing something and think I must call and tell Mother, then I would remember I couldn't do that again, we were best of friends. It's the same with Daddy, he passed away in March of 2004. I am always thinking about or doing something I would like to share with each of them. Time helps heal that huge empty scared place in our life, but never erases it.
I had great difficulty doing several things for the longest time after mother passed away, she was an avid crocheteer, and it took almost 5 years before I could ever crochet again, I never did it as much as she did, but still do it less than ever. But we must carry on with our lives, I am so glad that you went ahead and finished the quilt, it is darling. You did well!!.
