I would rather receive one 'splurge' item, than a bunch of small items, as a gift. I have no trouble buying myself the smaller, less expensive things. I would use a coupon and spend the $10, after the discount. A small pair of scissors is always good, as well as rotary blades, small cutting mat, templates . . . . Would an acid-free box (for finished blocks) be considered a notion? Probably not, huh? I have one that's made for scrapbook pages, that's just perfect for my 12.5" blocks.
