I have made some of the absolute best (Comcast Guys Tested and Approved ) both in the crockpot and in the oven.. My recipe for oven starts out on the stove top.. I cover the pork roast in my favorite seasonings (Webbers Roasted Garlic Seasoning) & fill the rest of the way with water I put quit a bit of seasoning because the water will dilute the flavor . Bring to a boil then reduce heat and cook for a couple of hours until its falling apart tender. Then I remove it from the pan and shred it and place in a large bake dish and cover with my favorite bbq sauce (Sweet Baby Rays) and cover and bake for about an hour removing the cover about 25 min before its done so it lightly caramelizes the outside.. Serve on Garlic Toast with Home made cole slaw.. MMMMmmmmmm It is soo tasty... Has great flavor and makes the house smell wonderful...
