spray a little hilex or chlorox in there and wipe it out. let it set to dry to make sure that it is all gone. if not spray again wipe and let dry. sew classic has the throat plates I think. can always email Jenny and ask. pretty machine, I hand cranked my Lavincedore in a case like that one. cleaned the case with some wood cleaner. make sure you use sewing machine oil to clean your machine and triflow to loosen up any stuck parts. I really like the Triflow. can get it from Jenny too.
