Yes BizzieLizzie, I cut a strip of freezer paper as long as the side of the quilt, hand sketched the wave pattern, trimmed the freezer paper, ironed to a dark blue strip of fabric, pinned to the lighter blue, top stitched, then cut the excess light blue fabric away, simple!
The corners were the issue, I lay all four freezer paper borders together and overlapped them, but didn't quit get as good a match as I was hoping...hence the big fish to hide the join LOL!
