Thank you for your input. I once had a beautiful, brand new fifty-sixty year old Necchi Supernova, pink that had parts and directions to change to treadle or motor, with directions outlined in the owner's manual. Silly me, did not know the specialness of the machine at the time at gave it away. I would give anything for that machine back. I only used it for dressmaking as did not quilt yet. Also, needed to use my Amish neighbor's machine once and it was a machine with cams converted to a treadle. My only time using one. I loved the control and the start up of sewing. Never realized the pause at start up with a motor until then. . .and have always noticed every time I sew, no matter the machine. So, I am trying to find a machine to convert. . .but as Miriam said, "getting a nice motor".
