You might want to double check the school policy on gift giving. Our kids' school had a "no gifts to teachers" policy, to keep the playing field even for all the kids. I used to write a note thanking them for their work with my child, but I would have loved to give a gift. But I understand the policy, so just be sure the kids school says it's accepted before you make a lot of gifts.
I wish more schools did this. I've seen the look on little faces when they were the one with no gift for the teacher, or gift exchanges for other kids. Also when trips were taken and some one could not afford to go and had to stay behind. I hate those situations!!!!! I'm just a grandma now, but I was very involved in school volunteer work years ago, and even now I see that at my grandchildren's school
