I decided to try a couple scrappy potholders and here are the results. They may be a bit too busy but they were fun to make.
I have a new friend at work. Well, she got here a few months after me, almost 3 years ago, but I say new cause we are finally buddies after spending some time getting to know eachother. She's much younger than me and just starting out her adult life. She doesn't know how to cook and I've been giving her easy recipes to help her along. I bought her a little kit last year for Christmas that had a oven mitt, a small square baking dish, and brownie mix.
Apparently, it's the only mitt she has. I love these and would like to make her several. Do you have a specific pattern for these or did you make it up as you went along? I can make up quilting motifs as I go, piecing patterns NOT so much.
I would love to make some like this.
