This looks like fun.! So many nice people.! I moved to the Birmingham, Alabama area 11 years ago for a job (from Ga, Miami, Calif, and NJ). I retired February 08 to take care of my Mom who had many strokes and is now bedridden. We have a Quilt Guild in Mt. Olive but so far I haven't been to go as I have been unable to get sitters to leave Mom. I am also Staff to 9 rescued cats who are great company. It seems like I read and talk and look at quilting things more than I actually quilt. I like other sewing and crafts and am a recycler and composter and cook and trying to do all the things I couldn't do before I retired.
