The sticky back Velcro is NOT for fabrics....that's why it doesn't stick to it for long. It's for use on hard surfaces....sticking one hard surfaced object to another hard surfaced object when you want it to be removable. Example...softer loop side stuck to a dry erase marker, hook side stuck to the board. Some stores sell the hook (or loop) sides of sticky & sew-on separately. For example, if you want to use Velcro to attach a skirt to a vanity table....you'd buy the sticky back hook side & stick it to the table. And sew the sew-on loop side to the skirt.
