Default My latest restoration project (a toolbox)

My husband found the bargain of a lifetime for guys at Goodwill a few months ago.
A very well used Kennedy toolbox including a lot of Craftsman tools when they were still made in America. And a bunch of machinist tools too.

It was in sad shape as you can see by the first few photos. First I cleaned all the stuff out of it. Then pulled all the filthy felt out of the drawers, wiped the insides of the drawers with paint thinner and Goof off. Sanded the beast down, we thought it was a black tool box, it was actually brown....LOL
So much crud was on it that the true color was no longer visible. We went to Lowe's and bought some Rustoleum textured paint that matched the original color. I went through about 6 cans of it by time I was done. Then I relined all the drawers with brown felt. He said he is really pleased with the finished toolbox.
