Default Using the "bisé-tongue" when binding

I just tried to use the "bisé-tongue" when binding. Has anyone tried that? It might be a very well known trick but I was a bit happy because I just thought of it myself. It kept my machine stitched binding at a constant small distance from the backside binding edge.

ps. "bisé-tounge" is what is a direct translation. I have no idea what it is called in English. If I'm totally off please help me out.
