I think the leaves are to have 2 of the short ones stitched right sides together on top of quilt batt and then turned right side out from the bottom straight edge. The longer holly leaf is put 2 right side together on quilt batt and stitch all around leaving an opening between the 2 dots for turning. Once you have all the shapes prepared, the lines on the short leaves are quilted in. The short leaf ends are then place behind the long leaf in the positions marked on the tissue pattern and stitched into place when you quilt the lines on the long leaf? I am thinking it makes a holly center piece for a table?
