I live about 35 miles from St.Louis and since we heard of these "dognappings" we have put two locks on the gates and when we let our 2 bostons out we either stay at the door or go outside with them. We never leave them outside alone. When they are walked they are on a leash built for two so one can't go in one direction and one in another.
