I found the flannel backed satin to be very easy to work with. When I used normal satin to make doggie beds for my Maltese I found it was a slippery nightmare! Elmer's School Glue to the rescue - once those seams were stabalized and in place by using the glue I found the sewing to be quite easy. The glue is so much better than pins on satin.
