Another hexie addict here! Started this last year when I was in hospital having my bionic knee fitted!! It is growing slowly.....always was going to be a long term project!! Done in 1930s fabrics. A useful tip from a fellow quilter was to keep all the centres the same colour...mine are all red...but I could have used blue / green/yellow etc They are 1" hexies downloaded from
www.texasfreckles.com. I use 2 1/2" squares of fabric. I just fold and tack the fabric without tacking through papers. Easy to remove papers and no need to remove tacking stitches either!!!!
