Not much need for the fireplace here in CA as you guessed. Not worth the trouble mostly. It houses great candles for ambience
No hearth needed...1.because we don't have roaring fires 2. the floor is spark resistant.
I only have 1 table runner to finish before it's doll quilt time! I have it all drawn out in my head and am excited to start it. Now tiny or larger? Hmmm that is the question!
