I'm with you, nygal. I went one year, but that was only because they had shirts on sale that I wanted for me.
I shop for Christmas year round. I have several people that are difficult to buy for, so if I see something that is perfect for them, I get it right then.
Only problem is, when my girls were young, I sometimes forgot where I'd put them and found them months after Christmas. By the next Christmas, they no longer wanted/needed it or had outgrown it.
